1. Overview
Sorvo is a Chrome extension built by Studia Labs that helps entrepreneurs and product teams discover pain points and market insights from Reddit using AI. This policy describes how Sorvo collects, uses, and protects your data. This policy supplements the Studia Labs Privacy Policy, which also applies to your use of Sorvo.
2. Data Collected by the Extension
Reddit Page Content
When you use Sorvo on Reddit, the extension reads content from the current page (e.g., thread titles, post bodies, subreddit names, comment text) to provide its features. This data is processed locally in your browser and is only sent to our servers when you explicitly trigger an action, such as:
- Saving a thread
- Running an AI pain point analysis
- Setting up an auto-capture rule
- Exporting data
Saved Content
Threads, pain points, auto-capture rules, and exports are stored on our servers to display in your dashboard and track usage against your plan limits.
Authentication Data
Your session token is stored in the extension's local storage to keep you signed in. No passwords are stored in the extension.
3. What Sorvo Does NOT Collect
- We do not track your browsing history
- We do not read or store your Reddit password or credentials
- We do not access your Reddit account, private messages, or upvotes
- We do not send data to any third parties other than our AI provider (xAI/Grok) for analysis
- We do not passively collect data — the extension only activates when you interact with it
4. Permissions
Sorvo requires the following Chrome permissions:
- Host permission (reddit.com) — Required to read thread content and inject the Sorvo UI on Reddit pages
- Storage — Used to store your authentication session and extension preferences locally
- Tabs — Used to open the OAuth login flow in a new tab
5. AI Processing
When you request an AI analysis (e.g., pain point identification), the relevant thread content is sent to our server, which forwards it to xAI (Grok) for processing. The AI provider does not store your data beyond the request lifecycle. The analysis results are returned to you and saved to your account.
6. Auto-Capture
Sorvo's auto-capture feature runs keyword-based searches on Reddit to find matching threads. These searches use publicly available Reddit content. Matched threads are saved to your account. You can disable or delete auto-capture rules at any time.
7. Data Exports
When you export data (CSV, JSON, PDF, etc.), the export is generated on our servers and made available for download. Export files are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after 30 days.
8. Data Deletion
You can delete your saved threads, pain points, auto-capture rules, and exports at any time from the dashboard. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at hello@studialabs.com.
